Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neonatal ICU position with Epic proficiency and travel nurse experience required.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of a hospital
- Rotating shifts with both day (7:00-19:00) and night (19:00-7:00) 12-hour shifts
- Care for critical neonates in a specialized acute care setting
- Epic EMR proficiency required
- Locals are accepted at the same pay rate
- Care for premature and critically ill newborns in a collaborative NICU team environment
- Hospital follows a natural nail policy
- Facility is drug and tobacco free
- Holiday coverage may be required and time off requests must be submitted in advance
- All candidates must clear background checks and provide required documentation before start
- Multiple education levels accepted if accredited
Requirements
- Active VA or compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU RN experience
- Previous travel nurse experience is required
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE); diploma, ADN, or BSN accepted
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must not have been employed at VCU Health within the past 6 months
