Additional Information:
- During a weeknight call can be handled over the phone and if needed a patient could be brought to the cancer center the following morning to be consulted. The inpatients are at a nearby Medical Center, our Cancer Center is an outpatient facility about 4 miles away.
- Calls typically are a side effect or medication question. Maybe on average 1 consult per week and possibly 1 over the weekend. May receive a hospital consult on a weekday and the on-call physician will go to the hospital to see the patient at the end of the day.
