Emergency Medicine Physician opportunity in Aiken, SC
Work alongside a friendly and cohesive team of 16 physicians and 9 advanced practice providers (APPs). Our team features diverse expertise, from recent graduates to professionals with decades of experience. Participate in hospital committees such as credentials, sepsis, peer review, and medical executive teams, fostering strong connections with specialists and supportive administration.
Position Highlights:
- Flexible work schedule with independent contractor status.
- Full-time commitment as an independent contractor requires 120 hours per month.
- Provide care at a 273-bed community hospital with a 30-bed emergency department, certified as a chest pain and stroke center.
- Volume: 43K annual visits with 39 hours of daily physician coverage and 30 hours of APP coverage per day.
- Deliver emergency care at a 10-bed freestanding emergency department in North Augusta, Georgia.
- Volume: 23K annual visits with 24 hours of physician coverage and 12 hours of APP coverage per day.
- Engage in teaching opportunities with APP students and internal and family medicine residents.
- Opportunities to collaborate closely with colleagues and consultants while managing all aspects of community emergency medicine.
- Be part of a supportive and innovative team that contributes to the local community and helps it thrive.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified/eligible in emergency medicine
- Authorized to work in the United States
