Job Description:
The Vascular Technologist performs diagnostic vascular ultrasound procedures in accordance with FMC policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. This role supports physicians by providing accurate vascular imaging and ensuring patient safety, comfort, and quality care.
- Graduate of an accredited program; registered or eligible for registration within 90 days (RVT preferred or RVS accepted).
- 15 CME hours are required every 3 years per IAC standards.
- Two years of vascular lab experience preferred.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound exams as ordered.
- Operate ultrasound and medical record systems safely and correctly.
- Assist physicians with vascular procedures.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and a clean work environment.
- Support the training of students and new staff.
- Follow all FMC policies, procedures, and IAC standards.
- Provide excellent patient and family-centered care and service recovery when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
