The Accountant, Property Accounting is responsible for performing general accounting functions for a portfolio of approximately 80,000 single-family rental properties, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, working with other departments to understand their business units and impact on the financials, and collaborating with other teams within the Accounting Department to ensure timely delivery of financials. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and has a desire to learn multiple aspects of the single-family residential business.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Prepares monthly journal entries, completes bank reconciliations, and maintains balance sheet account reconciliations.
Ensures month-end close deadlines are met.
Reviews the Balance Sheet and Income Statement to ensure accuracy.
Assists with external and internal audit requests (SOX, Compliance, Internal Controls, etc.).
Participates in Company-provided training.
Performs other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is required.
1+ years of experience in accounting and financial statement preparation is preferred.
Knowledge of basic Excel functionality is required
Yardi experience a plus.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is: $53,175.00 - $92,170.00, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
