Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU Critical Care travel position requiring current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting
• Night shift from 18:00 to 06:30
• 13-week travel assignment
• Deliver safe, direct patient care using the nursing process in the ICU
• Guide and educate patients and families while supporting other nursing staff
• Communicate with physicians regarding patient condition changes, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical results
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and treatment response
• Maintain patient privacy and uphold confidentiality at all times

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 3 years of ICU nursing experience
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Current certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
• DCI/BVP certification or completion of a comparable workplace violence prevention program required
