Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans• Provider must have their own office location• Ithaca, NY position requires 1 day per week• Trumansburg, NY position requires 3 days per week• PRN basis, ongoing opportunity• Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours)• One-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing)• No prescribing or treatment required• Quick credentialing and onboarding process• Acceptable specialties include: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products)• AANP certification required• Must maintain active and unrestricted full license in New York• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified• Not eligible if actively employed at the VA or on active military duty• Administrative follow-up work required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)• Local candidates only, travel included in rates
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
Estimated Hourly Rate: $85 - $100
