YesUnit Culture: Family Oriented, Excellent TeamworkPatient Types/Common Diagnoses:COPD/Pulmonary Diseases, Heart Failure, Cardiac Arrhythmias, Renal Failure, Sepsis, ETOH/CIWA and IVDA, tracheostomies requiring mechanical ventilation, continuous BIPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, hypothermia regulation, and titratable IV dripsPatient Ratios:RN: 1:3-4CNA: 1:9Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:RN: BLS, ACLS, NIHSSSkills required:RN: Experience with the above patients, experience with trached/vented patients, temporary/transvenous pacemaker, cardiac gtt experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes, trach care, blood products, wound care/dressing changes, etc.Support within the Department:CNA – patient care (ADLs/Vitals/Nutrition/Blood sugar checks) and mobilityNo Receptionist/HUCCharge nurseVirtual Nursing (helps with Admission/Discharge, Virtual Observation of patients, can sign off as RN witness for certain meds)Phlebotomy, 24/7IV/VAT Team, 24/7Pharmacist dedicated to unitCase Manager x 2 per unitMedSurg Clinical Nurse SpecialistRT 24/7 – will perform Nebulizer treatmentsNurse EducatorHospitalist, 24/7Intensivist until 12am and then virtual/on call critical care MDNo remote Tele Monitoring - Unit Clerk, Charge/Clinical Supervisor and Staff are responsible to read and post every shiftTechnology/Equipment:EMR: EPICIV Pump: AlarisMed dispensing: OmnicellMonitors: PhillipsRover CommunicationVirtual Nursing (helps with Admission/Discharge, Virtual Observation of patients, can sign off as RN witness for certain meds)
