An Emergency Medicine Physician is required to provide clinical care at a Level II Trauma Center with substantial annual patient visits and a range of emergency facilities including trauma bays and pediatric services. The role involves 70 hours of physician coverage weekly, working with advanced medical technologies and a multidisciplinary team in a hospital setting. Candidates must be board certified, maintain an active DEA license in the state, and be willing to work at freestanding emergency departments affiliated with the main facility.
Coverage Needed:
- As soon as credentialed - ongoing
- Provider must be willing to work at FSED's associated with Main facility
Clinical Information:
- Level II Trauma Center
- 61,000 annual patient visits in Main ED and 16,000 in Peds ED
- 42-bed ED including 5 fast track plus 5 monitored beds
- 3 trauma bays, including 1 pediatric
- 70 hours total of physician coverage (main ED and Peds ED incl)
- 60 hours of APP coverage
- 26% Admit rate
- EMR is Meditech, Pdoc and dragon dictation
- Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane
- Interventional cardiac cath facility
- Code ice facility with theraputic hypothermia capability
- Several dedicated ED glide scopes and US machines
- 24 hour inhouse Hospitalist and Intensivists
- No floor code or consult responsibilities
Required:
- DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
- Board Certified in one of the following:
- American Board of Emergency Medicine
- American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine
- Providers living inside of 50 miles from the facility will be considered "Local
