• Alternating monthly schedule with 10 consecutive days of call covering 2 weekends
• Average 4 patients per shift with 4 phone consults and 4 admissions per 24 hours
• Required procedures include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and GI endoscopy
• Adult and pediatric surgery coverage required
• Call coverage for unassigned patients
• Upper and lower endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy required
