Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical Nurse to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing skills and be prepared to manage various patient needs within the medical surgical unit.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide support to patients and their families, educating them on care processes and recovery plans.
- Assist in the coordination of patient care, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Engage in necessary floating within the hospital as per management needs and skillset.
- New York State Nursing License.
- Minimum of 2 years acute hospital nursing experience.
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications preferred.
- Skills in managing and accessing ports, IV maintenance, wound care, and patient education.
