Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Contract
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in a fast-paced emergency department. This role is ideal for a confident, adaptable RN who thrives in high-acuity environments and is comfortable working rotating shifts, including consecutive weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to emergency department patients
- Rapidly assess, prioritize, and manage patients with varying levels of acuity
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and protocols
- Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Accurately document patient care and outcomes using the electronic medical record system
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and emergency nursing best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Active Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be active prior to contract start)
- Minimum of 5 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Ability to work rotating shifts and consecutive weekends as scheduled
- Strong critical-thinking, communication, and multitasking skills
Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- Additional emergency-related certifications as required
Additional Information:
- Holiday coverage is required; holiday pay applies only when the shift begins on the holiday
- This assignment does not require affiliation with Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (HHSC)
- EMR system used: Cerner
