Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs vascular ultrasound procedures for interpretation by physicians. Provides the patient care essential to vascular ultrasound procedures. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.Position Details:

Education: Graduated from a school of sonography OR received on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound.
Experience: More than two (2) years experience as a cardiovascular sonographer. Credit may be given if experience was received with on the job training by a Preceptor who is registered in Cardiac ultrasound.
Certification/Registration: ARDMS/RVT or ARDMS/RDCS or CCI/RVS. IV certification is required. BLS
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-- Performs all routine exams
--Must perform stress tests/TEE (where applicable in primary dept)
-- IV certified
-- Perform one or more of the following special procedures: EVLT, RF ablations, TCD OR May be a Merge cardio super user and/or super user for other technology/equipment
