Job Details:- Position: Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist
- Location: Near Archie, Missouri
- Start Date: January 13, 2025
- Duration: 13-week contract with the potential for extension
- Number of Positions Available: 3
- Schedule:
- 24/7 call coverage and daily hospital services
- On-site hospital presence of approximately 8 hours per day
- Standard shift begins around 7:00 am, with flexibility in start time
- Primary Duties:
- Provide inpatient consultations and necessary procedures
- Address daily consults and handle night call/call-backs
- Support staff includes Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) for rounding assistance
- Patient Demographic: Adults and geriatrics, ages 18+
- Note: No pediatric patients
- Procedures:
- Inpatient consults and procedures
- ERCP training is preferred but not required
- Setting: Acute care hospital, closed ICU
- Support Services:
- Interventional radiology
- Colorectal surgery support
- Patient Volume:
- Approximately 700 procedures monthly (inpatient/outpatient)
- Average of 200 consults per month
- Documentation System: Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Licensure: Active Missouri state license required (IMLC not accepted)
- Board Certification: Gastroenterology - required
- DEA Certification: Required
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (medical exemptions only)
- Flu Vaccine: Facility requirement unknown
- Orientation: 12 hours (non-billable)
- Privileges: 90 days for privileging process
- Travel: Reimbursable
