Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience and a valid NH or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Birthing Pavilion of a hospital setting
- 21 birthing suites, a 2-bed triage room, and 2 operating rooms
- Unit handles approximately 1300 deliveries per year
- AWHONN nurse:patient staffing guidelines are followed: 1:1 for Pitocin and active labor, 1:2 for cervical ripening and specific high-risk medications, 1:3 for Antepartum and Postpartum couplets
- Assigned to day/night rotation or night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week
- Provide nursing care for laboring patients, as well as antepartum and postpartum care
- Manage high-risk medication infusions such as Magnesium Sulfate and Insulin drips as needed
- Work in a team-oriented environment with established staffing support
- Must adhere to all hospital policies and maintain active licensure and certifications throughout the contract
Requirements
- Active NH or compact state RN license required and must remain active throughout assignment
- Current BLS certification required
- Recent Level 1 or comparable Level 2 Trauma experience within the last 2 years is required
- No local candidates permitted; candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
