We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Maine. This opportunity begins on Feb 2, 2026, for a 120-day contract, working Monday through Friday with day shifts. The provider will serve as the sole clinician in the clinic, delivering primary care to patients of all ages, with a strong focus on geriatric care.

- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm; Thursday administrative time 12pm-5pm; open 3- or 6-month assignments
Responsibilities and Duties- Serve as the sole provider delivering comprehensive primary care for all age groups, with an emphasis on geriatric patients
- Manage primary care cases independently within the clinic setting
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and follow-up care
- Prescribe medications and coordinate with specialists as needed
- Provide preventive care, health education, and chronic disease management
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Uphold clinical protocols and quality standards
Additional Information- Must hold an active nurse practitioner license in Maine
- Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)
- Board certification in Family Medicine required
- Significant experience in primary care and geriatrics expected; new graduates will not be considered due to solo provider responsibilities
