We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated healthcare team in the Urgent Care Center of our rural hospital located in the Adirondack Mountains, North County in New York. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Urgent Care and be able to provide high-quality, patient-centered care, work life balance in a rural healthcare setting. This role requires the ability to work independently, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and respond to a wide range of acute medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct patient assessments, examinations, and medical histories.
2. Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and infections.
3. Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays and lab work.
4. Prescribe medications and provide appropriate follow-up care.
5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
6. Perform minor medical procedures as needed.
7. Educate patients on preventive healthcare measures and lifestyle modifications.
8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Qualifications:

1. Current New York State license
2. Previous experience in urgent care or a similar fast-paced healthcare setting.
3. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
6. Knowledge of current healthcare regulations and best practices.
7. Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner program.
