Locums - Dayton, Ohio - Cardiac Electrophysiology (EP) Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Job Clinical Role

• Locum tenens assignment

• Seeking a board-certified or truly board-eligible Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

• Inpatient EP APP coverage

• Schedule: Monday-Friday with flexible start/end times (e.g., 8:00am-4:00pm or 9:00am-5:00pm)

  • No weekends

  • No holidays

• Assignment length: Minimum of 10 weeks with the possibility of extension

• EMR: Epic

• Reason for need: Physician on leave

Clinical Details

• Daily patient volume: 10-20 patients

  • Mix of consults and follow-up patients admitted for EP-related conditions

• Provider will:

  • Independently manage and bill follow-up patients

  • See consults in a timely manner

  • Review cases with the EP physician rounding that week

• Will occasionally function as the second APP on the inpatient EP service

• Additional support available from 5-6 inpatient APPs on the general service

• Procedures:

  • No required procedures

  • Must have an understanding of device checks

  • Ability to perform device changes is a plus

• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS

• Practice setting includes standard specialties and subspecialties at a
  Level I Trauma Center / Tertiary Referral Center
