- Clinic Coverage Hours:
- Mon-Fri: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Weekday call: 4:30 PM - 8:30 AM (1:2 rotation)
- Weekend call: 24 hours (8:30 AM Sat 8:30 AM Mon, 1:3 rotation)
- Compensation:

- Compensation: with 4 hours of gratis
- Weekend Callback: after 4 hours of gratis
Practice Details:
- Weekend Call:
- Mostly by phone (rarely coming in at night)
- Pediatrician may need to go to ER or nursery once a week for emergencies or admissions
- Rounds in the hospital in the morning, then clinic
- Must admit patients both day and night (hospitalists admit ages 18+)
- Must be local to respond to ED or emergent c-sections within 30 minutes
- Level I nursery with 230-250 births/year
- No NICU; telemedicine for Neonatology
- Higher level care PEDS transferred to other facilities
- Average workweek: 44-48 hours (including non face-to-face time for chart completion)
- OBs perform circumcisions
- Practice is 90% outpatient
- No APP/Mid-level coverage available
- Other specialties available onsite (limited for peds-specific)
