The Quality Assurance Technician on 3rd shift is responsible for ensuring product quality and safety compliance in a manufacturing environment by performing inspections, tests, and documentation of molded products. The role includes reviewing production schedules, batch records, and coordinating quality control activities with production personnel while adhering to safety regulations. The position requires strong communication skills, quality background, and experience with measurement techniques and computer applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Follows all Safety and Quality procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.
• Responsible for ensuring the compliance of “Product Quality” of the molded product, to meet the expectation of our customers.
• Performs daily quality control inspections, checks, functional tests, documents and disseminates results.
• Review production schedule and create batch records and labels.
• Review and approve completed batch records including “Positive Release”
• Complete “First Good Part” approval in timely manner
• Verifies “Line Clearance” activities
• Escalate issues to appropriate personnel
• Work with plant personnel to assist in measurements, root cause activities, and resolution of daily quality issues.
• As needed, perform Gage R&R’s and Qualification studies.
• Interact with production personnel to ensure quality checks, packaging, documentation requirements and the quality system is clearly understood.
• Provide detailed daily quality download.
• Write, train and follow procedures.
• Maintain the work area in an organized and professional manner.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Understands and follows Hazard Materials Regulations 49 CFR Part 172.704 (a)(1) General awareness/familiarization training, (a)(3) Safety training, and (a)(4) Security awareness training.
Skills
• Possesses well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Quality background in measurement techniques and analysis preferred.
• Demonstrated capacity to work with Microsoft Office Products, Outlook, and other critical computer applications.
• Ensure a well-developed and positive attitude towards working together as a team.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, government manuals, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine correspondences to both internal and external contacts. Ability to speak effectively with customers and coworkers of all departments within the organization.
Education and/or Experience:
Quality background in measurement techniques and analysis preferred.
High School Diploma or GED. At least 2-4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
