Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (January 12, 2026 – April 12, 2026)
• Weekly Hours: 40
• Shift: 8-hour days (6:30am – 5:00pm); 30% of shifts may be 1:00pm – 11:30pm based on department needs
• Call Requirement: 6 weekday and 6 weekend calls per 6-week schedule
• Location: Bridgeport, CT 06606
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and clear Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience
• Clinical experience in General Surgery, Robotics (DaVinci & Mako Ortho), Urology, ENT, Neuro (cervical fusion, lumbar laminectomy), Plastics (abdominoplasty, breast augmentation), GYN, and Orthopedics (total knee/hip replacements, anterior/posterior approach)
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC, Surgicount, and TECSYS preferred

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, and compassionate perioperative nursing care for surgical patients
• Circulate and scrub for a wide range of surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic health records (EPIC)
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend coverage
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
• Mentor and support less experienced nursing staff
