Are you a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician seeking a rewarding locum tenens opportunity in Connecticut? A reputable healthcare organization near Woodbury, CT, is looking for a dedicated professional to join their team on a temporary basis to provide exceptional patient care. This role offers an excellent balance of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in a supportive and collaborative environment. Position Highlights: Schedule : 3 clinic days per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM. Some infrequent weekend and night call responsibilities. Weekend coverage: approximately 2-3 weekends per year. Night call: 1:10 rotation. Scope of Practice : Mix of 80% hematology and 20% oncology. No internal medicine responsibilities. Focus on adult and geriatric patient care. Setting : Combination of inpatient consults and outpatient clinic services. Estimated 10 patients per day for inpatient care and 15 patients per day in the outpatient clinic. Team Composition : Join a well-established practice with 10 experienced physicians and 8 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). Technology : Utilize the Epic EMR system for streamlined patient management. Requirements: Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology is mandatory. Active Connecticut medical license (IMLC not accepted at this time). Preference for candidates within driving distance (no flights provided). Additional Information: This role covers a leave of absence, offering a great opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma Center. Estimated credentialing timeframe: 130 days from offer acceptance.
