Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts with weekend coverage required
• Mixed acuity unit serving medical surgical and progressive care patients
• Patient ratios: MS patients 1:5-6, PCU patients 1:3-4 based on acuity
• Care for oncology, stroke, cardiac, gastrointestinal, and pulmonary patients
• Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin protocols
• Experience required with post heart catheterization and post pacemaker care
• Handle unstable strokes and BiPap management
• Must have solid neurology experience
• Float as needed within hospital or to affiliate hospitals
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• 1 year of experience required with MS/Tele or PCU background
• Must have Indiana state, compact, or Indiana temporary license prior to start
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
• Dress code: red top, black bottoms
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Local Indiana residents not accepted for this position
• Travel experience and 18 months experience preferred
