Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• May be asked to participate in holiday rotation if it falls on regularly scheduled shift
• 2-week block scheduling managed by facility administration
• Night shifts typically grouped 3-4 shifts in a row
• Work on Med Surg/IMCU unit with 18 beds on 3rd floor and 8 beds on 2nd floor
• Nurse to patient ratios: Med Surg 1:5, IMCU 1:3
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (PALS preferred)
• Must be comfortable titrating Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Heparin drips
• Must be comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips
• Work with common diagnoses including COPD, CHF, pneumonia, hypertension, and Type 2 diabetes
• Care for orthopedic and post-surgical patients, including some pediatric cases
• Work with respiratory equipment including CPAP, Ci-PAP, ventilators, Vapotherm, and high flow devices
• Any color scrubs permitted
• 1-2 shift orientation with preceptor
• Use EPIC charting system
• No floating requirements unless previous ED experience (may assist in ER or ICU without patient assignment)
• No call or standby requirements
• First time travelers accepted
