Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgery Registered Nurse to join our perioperative team. This full-time role includes providing high-quality nursing care to surgical patients throughout the pre-operative, intraoperative, and recovery phases. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
This position offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule, no call, no weekends, and a competitive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Perform comprehensive admission assessments and medication reconciliation
- Prepare and coordinate surgical procedures with department leadership
- Provide pre-op and post-op care, including recovery room responsibilities
Qualifications- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (ASN/BSN)
- 1+ year of experience in a surgical or perioperative setting preferred
- EHR experience preferred
Licensure & Certifications- Current RN license in the State of Nebraska
- BLS (CPR) – Required
- ACLS – Required within 1 year of hire
- PALS – Required within 1 year of hire
- AORN Perioperative 101 – Required within 2 years
- TNCC & NRP only required if working in the Emergency Department
- Valid Driver’s License
Work Environment- Hospital-based surgical department
- Moderate noise environment typical of OR, inpatient, and emergency settings
- Fast-paced setting requiring attention to detail and teamwork
