The Operations and Facilities Specialist manages and integrates facilities, infrastructure, and operational support for mission-critical activities within a classified and unclassified military environment. Responsibilities include overseeing maintenance, coordinating access control, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and mentoring junior personnel. The role requires experience with facilities management systems, regulatory standards, and the ability to operate effectively under security clearance requirements.
MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Operations and Facilities Integration Specialist to join our team in Quantico, VA.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Integrate and execute facilities, infrastructure, and operational support for MCWL-hosted events, experiments, wargames, and mission activities across classified and unclassified environments, serving as the primary on-site point of contact for operational readiness.
- Oversee day-to-day facilities operations, including maintenance coordination, CMMS utilization, work order management, contractor oversight, inspections, and quality assurance for MCWL facilities and operational spaces.
- Coordinate access control, space utilization, utilities, logistics, and security requirements in collaboration with MCWL staff, Marine Corps stakeholders, vendors, and external partners to ensure infrastructure alignment with operational timelines.
- Support safety, occupational health, and system safety activities in accordance with DoD regulations and standards (e.g., MIL-STD-882, DoDI 5000-series, OSHA, building codes), including site surveys, facility inspections, and readiness assessments.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, maintenance and continuity documentation, and post-engagement reporting while providing leadership and mentorship to junior personnel supporting facilities and operational execution
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years’ experience. Without a degree at least 5+ years of experience supporting facilities operations, infrastructure management, maintenance, safety, or operational integration within DoD, military, or government environments.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating maintenance, construction, or facilities support activities in secure or mission-critical environments.
- Working knowledge of CMMS, facilities management systems, or maintenance tracking tools.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to operate effectively in dynamic, time-sensitive environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent operational experience.
- Familiarity with building systems (HVAC, electrical, fire protection, security, telecommunications).
- Experience with safety and compliance programs, including OSHA, HAZWOPER, and system safety standards.
- Experience developing SOPs, maintenance plans, or operational frameworks.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have an active/current TS/SCI clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able and willing to perform occasional manual labor and warehouse duties, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
