Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a night shift RN for a Med/Surg position in Vermont, requiring at least three years of acute care experience and BLS/ACLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Position is on a general Med/Surg unit with primarily adult patients and occasional pediatric cases
- Swing bed, observation, and outpatient populations may be seen
- Night shift schedule is 7pm to 7am, four 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 48 hours, with every other weekend required
- Meditech EMR is used; Meditech experience is preferred but not required
- Travelers begin assignments on Wednesdays
- This is not a pediatric floor, but RN may occasionally care for pediatric patients
- Deliver care to a diverse patient population utilizing the nursing process and holistic approach
- Work closely with the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and/or Nursing Supervisor to coordinate patient care
- Required credentials must be submitted five business days prior to start date for onboarding
- Flu vaccination is required with no exceptions
- Onboarding includes a reduced hours week due to midweek start
- Collaborate with a team in a supportive environment focused on exceptional patient outcomes
Requirements
- Active VT RN license or compact state RN license required
- Minimum of three years acute care RN experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Experience in adult Med/Surg settings required; pediatric-only RNs will not be considered
- Ability to provide comprehensive care for adult and occasional pediatric patients
