The Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist provides psychiatric evaluation and treatment for behavioral health cases including suicidal ideation and aggression in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities include conducting daily rounds, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, coordinating with families, and documenting care using the Epic EMR system. The role supports staff such as nurses, therapists, and social workers to increase adult patient census in a hospital setting in Bismarck, ND.
We are currently seeking a Board-Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatry for Locum opportunity in Bismarck, ND
Start Date: As soon as credentialed!
Schedule: 8a-5p, Night call 5p-8a, 24hr call on weekends,
Position Overview:
Admissions per day Depends on the need, on average now we see 2-4. Patients/day Goal is 12-18
Types of cases Behavioral Health: Suicidal ideation, active aggression, etc.
Duties:Daily rounds on the adult psychiatry unit, attend daily multi-disciplinary teams meeting, communicate with patient family or natural supports, provide psych consults on the inpatient units, complete documentation
EMR: Epic
Support Staff: Registered Nurses, Mental Health Techs, Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapist Assistant, Social Worker, Adolescent Psychiatrist, Manager, Director
Reason for Coverage: To increase adult census
Timeframe: As soon as possible
Requirements:
North Dakota State license or IMLC (LOQ in hand)
Residency Requirements/Fellowship (Adult Psychiatry)
