Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Washington, DC, requiring an active DC RN license and recent hospital experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit of a hospital
- Three 12-hour day shifts per week required
- Patient care involves a varied adult population requiring telemetry monitoring
- Assignment is 13 weeks in duration
- Must live at least 25 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
- Responsibilities include performing assessments, delivering competent patient care, and documenting according to hospital policy
- Role involves providing care across the lifespan and interpreting patient needs
- Flu and COVID-19 vaccinations may be required prior to start
Requirements
- Active DC RN license is required at the time of consideration
- Minimum of two years of Med/Surg Tele experience in a US hospital required
- Certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) are required
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification is mandated
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Candidate must possess a valid US Social Security Number
