The Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care in the Emergency Room at East Cooper Medical Center, delivering patient-centered care to a diverse population. The role requires current RN licensure, certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC, and participation in ongoing competency evaluations and training. The nurse collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure quality outcomes and may float to other units as needed.

What We're Looking For:- Current unrestricted RN license in the State of South Carolina
- Successful completion of nursing service orientation program
- IV therapy training and/or competency within one year
- Annual participation in Skills Fair and completion of competency checklists
- Maintains any required department-specific certifications
- Must have current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- TNCC certification required within one year of hire
- Advanced certification in specialty and/or participation in professional nursing organizations encouraged
- Provides direct and/or indirect nursing care under the direction of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse
- Delivers safe, effective, and professional nursing care to assigned patients
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the healthcare needs of patients
- Cares for a diverse patient population, from infants to geriatrics (unless otherwise specified)
- Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Maintains a customer-focused approach and supports hospital and unit goals
- Delivers nursing care that aligns with established practice standards and clinical guidelines
- Must be willing and able to float to other comparable nursing units as needed
