We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position near Batson, Texas. Job Details Start Date: Immediate, with potential duration through August 2025. Schedule: Shifts: Day, evening, night, and weekend shifts available. Hours: Main ED: 7:00 AM???5:00 PM, 11:00 AM???9:00 PM, 5:00 PM???3:00 AM, and 9:00 PM???7:00 AM. Freestanding ED: 7:00 AM???7:00 PM and 7:00 PM???7:00 AM. No on-call requirements; only scheduled Emergency Department (ED) shifts. Candidate Requirements Certifications: Board-certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM required). Consideration given to IM/FP physicians with 3+ years of full-time ED experience. Experience: All experience levels welcome if ABEM-certified. Procedures Required: Intubation, central line placement, chest tube insertion, conscious sedation, fracture reduction, and laceration repair. Familiarity with all typical ED procedures is expected. Facility Information Emergency Department Stats: Approximately 30 treatment spaces. Census: 115 patients/day at the main ED and 70 patients/day at the Freestanding ED. Admission rates: 25% at the main ED, 5% at the Freestanding ED. Trauma Level 3: Moderate to high acuity cases, no low acuity at the main ED. Support: Adequate staffing with nurses, techs, paramedics, and security. Patient Demographics: Urban, middle-class population. Orientation and Credentialing Shadow shifts required (1???2 shifts based on experience). Emergency privileges and temporary credentials available. Case logs required during the credentialing process.
