Job Title: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care
Facility Summary:
Join a dedicated healthcare team at a Level II Trauma Center located in the beautiful city of Redding, California. This facility specializes in managing emergency surgery patients, particularly those undergoing neurosurgery, trauma, and critical care. Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a background in neuro-trauma and/or neuro-critical care to provide essential services in this dynamic environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage neurosurgery and trauma ICU patients during emergency surgeries.
- Perform low to moderate risk procedures, including but not limited to laceration repair and IV access.
- Execute high-risk procedures such as G-tube placement, endotracheal intubation, and chest tube insertion.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Utilize Cerner Care B for electronic medical records management.
- Care for an average of 15-20 ICU patients per day.
Qualifications:
- Current board certification from ANCC/AANP (NP) or NCCPA (PA).
- Active state license in the practicing state.
- ACLS, ATLS, and DEA certifications (ATLS not mandatory but preferred).
- Clean malpractice history.
- Minimum one year of experience in neurosurgery/neurocritical care or neurology.
- Availability upon name clearance.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification: Required
- State License: Required
- Other Certifications: ACLS; ATLS and DEA preferred but not required.
- Clean Malpractice History: Required
