The Licensed Nursing Assistant provides supportive patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses, performing designated tasks in medical-surgical settings. Responsibilities include assisting nursing staff in meeting patient needs according to hospital policies and maintaining compliance with state licensure requirements. The role requires completion of a nursing assistant training program and an active, unrestricted LNA license in Vermont.
Job Description The Nurse Aide is responsible and accountable for providing supportive care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Nurse Aide will carry out specific tasks and procedures as designated by the Registered Nurse in accordance with hospital policy and established job functions. He/she will cooperate with nursing staff in meeting needs and/or wants of patients by performing tasks for which the employee has been prepared. Education High School graduate or equivalent. Completion of a Licensed Nursing Assistant Training Program or equivalent experience. Current licensure as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of Vermont - unrestricted.
