The Pathology Physician is responsible for analyzing 18-20 surgical specimens daily, primarily gastrointestinal and gynecological, along with some breast, liver, and prostate biopsies. This role involves reviewing blood tests such as CBCs, signing out blood bank antibody panels and protein electrophoresis panels. The position requires anatomical and clinical pathology board certification and includes a 24-hour call schedule from August 3-5.
