This position is for a board-certified Pediatric Cardiologist or Physician Assistant to provide locum or permanent coverage in a Maryland hospital cath lab and pediatric intensive care unit. The role involves 24-hour on-call responsibilities primarily for emergency procedures and support within the cardiac catheterization service. The candidate must hold a Maryland medical license (or IMLC MD) and be proficient with Epic EMR, working alongside dedicated clinical staff in a specialized pediatric cardiac setting.
Position DescriptionWork Dates Needed: ASAP- Nov- Dec
Schedule: 24 hour call
Worksite Setting: Hospital- Cath Lab, 12 PICICU, 5 Step down
Scope of Work: Pediatric Cardiac OR/PCICU-, emergency OR procedures, chest tube removal
Licenses, Certifications, Requirements: Maryland license, will accept IMLC MD, board-certified in pediatric cardiology
EMR: Epic
Practice Setting: Cath lab
Support Staff Available: dedicated PA & RN, cath lab RNs and CVRTs
Certifications Required: MD, board-certified in pediatric cardiology
Additional Comments: Looking for call coverage support for our peds cardiac cath service. We are not expecting procedural support, though it could be possible in the event of an emergency.
