Events Manager's Responsibilities:
- Be a leader and a role model to all staff members
- Hire, train, and coach competent banquet event staff to ensure friendly and efficient service
- Lead the team enthusiastically and responsible for all event services including set up, serving of food and beverage, and breakdown of the event.
- Oversee and manage the full scope of the event to deliver exceptional gracious service, resolve any guest challenges and anticipate needs
- Ensure department compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and programs
- Ensure details and proper guidelines for events for a high level of execution
- Basic understanding of BEO's, floor plans/seating charts
Events Manager’s Requirements:
- Have a professional, friendly, and helpful personality and be passionate about delivering outstanding hospitality with service, food and beverage
- 2+ years of experience in similar position in catering venue or hotel
- Be a fantastic listener, collaborator, and detail-focused
- Positivity and out-of-the-box thinking required
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about seasonal scratch food preparation and presentation
- Excels at communication, both verbal and written
- Flexible and willing to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays that coincides with events.
