BC Ophthalmologist (MD/DO) locum tenens in North Carolina; inpatient/outpatient consults and trauma surgery; 24-hour call coverage; must be within 20 minutes of ECU Health Medical Center while on call; orientation day prior to shift; EPIC preferred; schedule variable per assignment; locum (temporary). - Board Certified Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) - Located within 20 minutes of ECU Health Medical Center while on call - Able to provide 24-hour call coverage and arrive for pre-shift orientation - Competent in ocular trauma procedures (ruptured globe repair, eyelid laceration repair, corneal foreign body removal) - EPIC training preferred

The provider will be required to come in the day before scheduled for orientation. Details: Evaluation: Evaluate all hospital and ED consults, including evaluation and surgical treatment of trauma cases. Care Setting: Provide inpatient and outpatient care only. Call Coverage: 24-hour call coverage required. Location Requirement: Provider must be within 20 minutes of ECU Health Medical Center while on call. EPIC Training: EPIC training preferred. Patient Volume: Anticipated volumes per day: 5-8, with an average of 5-6 patients per provider. Code Response: Provider will not respond to codes.
