Charge Nurse

Lead a new state-of-the-art freestanding ED serving Daniel Island/Charleston with night-shift leadership. Charge Nurse (RN) — Full-time, nights at Clements Ferry Emergency Department, East Cooper Medical Center; may float to comparable units; ongoing role supporting 24/7 ED expansion. - Current unrestricted SC RN license - Minimum 1 year clinical RN experience - BLS and ACLS required (PALS preferred) - Associate or BSN preferred - Specialty certification or NRP preferred (NRP training provided)

What We're Looking For:

Education

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred

Experience

• Minimum one year of clinical RN experience required

Licensure & Certifications

• Current unrestricted RN license in South Carolina

• BLS and ACLS required

• PALS preferred

• Specialty certification preferred

• NRP preferred (training provided upon hire)

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager, the Registered Nurse provides safe, effective, patient-centered nursing care. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients across the lifespan and works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve quality outcomes. This role may float to comparable units as needed.

• Provide direct and indirect professional nursing care

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs

• Monitor infection prevention and safety practices

• Respond effectively to emergencies and changing priorities

• Support patient flow and communicate concerns to leadership

• Collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments

• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives

• Assist with orientation, mentoring, and team development

• Ensure compliance with policies, standards, and competencies
