Our client, a leader in facility management for high-rise residential and commercial buildings, is seeking a Facility Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. As a Facility Maintenance Supervisor, you will be part of the Operations and Maintenance Services supporting the management of a state-of-the-art courthouse facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Miami, FL

Pay Range: $30-38/hr Based on experience

Shift: Rotating variable shift

What's the Job?

  • Supervise and guide a team of facilities technicians, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing coaching.
  • Coordinate and prioritize work orders and maintenance activities to ensure timely completion and optimal resource utilization.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and address issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
  • Perform repairs and monitor systems such as HVAC, boilers, pumps, electrical, and fire alarm systems to ensure optimal operation.

What's Needed?

  • Two-year technical degree or five years of experience as an Operations & Maintenance Supervisor, or completion of an apprenticeship program.
  • Knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities with a proactive approach.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and emergency situations as needed.
