This position is for a Motility-Trained Gastroenterologist at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital who will provide expert care for patients with complex gastrointestinal motility disorders. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary medical team, participation in clinical research, quality improvement, and academic teaching responsibilities. The physician will also contribute to scholarly activities and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows within an academic medical center environment.
The Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University is seeking a full-time Motility-Trained Gastroenterologist to join our nationally recognized team at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, located in the heart of Philadelphia.
Position Highlights
- Provide expert care for patients with complex esophageal, gastric, and intestinal motility disorders
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team of gastroenterologists, surgeons, radiologists, and speech pathologists
- Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and innovation in motility diagnostics and therapeutics
- Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows, including those in Jefferson’s GI fellowship program
- Contribute to Jefferson’s academic mission through scholarly activity and publications

Qualifications
- Board-certified (or board-eligible) in Gastroenterology
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Gastroenterology
- Advanced motility training and experience in managing complex motility disorders
- Eligible for or currently holding a Pennsylvania medical license
