The Neonatology Nurse Practitioner provides specialized care to infants in a hospital setting, managing patients with diverse gestational ages and complex diagnoses. They perform advanced procedures such as catheterization, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, and intubation while working 10- to 15-hour shifts without on-call duties. Certification and licensing requirements include VA licensure, neonatal NP certification, and multiple life support credentials.
Schedule: 10 hour day shifts or 15 hour night shifts (No Call)
Setting: Hospital
Job Details:
- Patients per day: 7-8
- Level IV - Manage and care for infants with a wide range of gestational ages and diagnoses.
- Special procedures: Umbilical vein and artery catheterization, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, endotracheal intubation
Requirements: VA License (Willing to License); Board Certified, DEA, ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP (Neonatal NP Certification)
Travel: Airfare, lodging, and car rental will be covered.
