Compounder in a manufacturing facility responsible for preparing, blending, and handling chemical product batches while following safety protocols and maintaining accurate production and inventory records. Duties include sanitizing equipment, identifying raw materials, aseptic sampling, data entry for batch information, and operating forklifts after certification. Role requires physical activity, basic math and reading of SDS, and adherence to regulatory and facility safety procedures.

Compounder Responsibilities:
- Understand the operation, methods, and all techniques used in the manufacture of chemical products
- Sanitize and assist in preparations for product making
- Blend batches with assistance as needed
- Able to identify the correct raw materials for batches
- Pass forklift certification
- Wear provided safety equipment, i.e., dust mask, respirators, gloves, etc., when handling raw materials in areas subject to odors, fumes and high temperatures
- Follow established safety procedures and exercise good safety practices to prevent accidents to self, others and facilities
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly fashion
- Communicate promptly and openly to Compounding Leads all operational and personnel problems
- Execute special assignments as directed by the Compounding Leads
- Handle all chemicals in accordance with State and local regulations
- Maintain surveillance of your limited access area in the facility to be sure only authorized individuals enter the area
- Perform other duties as required and requested by Compounding Leads
- Able to read and understand SDS
- Can perform aseptic sampling of raw materials, intermediates, and bulks
- Utilize a computer for data entry including batch information, downtime tracking, and tank status
- Maintain accurate inventory by using scanner to document consumption of raw materials and components used during manufacturing
Requirements For Compounder:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic math skills
- Able to read, write and speak English
- Ability to perform various physical demands such as stand, walk, kneel, crawl, crouch throughout shift
- Ability to lift to 50lb as needed and team lift to 100lb as needed
- Ability to lift above shoulders up to 25lb as needed
- Ability to lift to waist level up to 50lb as needed
- Ability to use basic hand tools
