The Job Description:POSITION: Registered Nurse ER Adult SCHEDULING DETAILS AND CHARTING =============================== • Shift hours/Contract Length: 7p-7a 13 weeks • Charting: EPIC experience required • Weekend Requirement: Every Other • RTO/Block Special Scheduling Requests: Must submit requests upon submission • Call off Policy: The client may cancel call off up to three shifts during a 13-week contract period without incurring charges for the canceled hours. • Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday if needed • Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes • Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: RN's within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted. Locals accepted for LPN's REQUIRED LICENSE/ CERTIFICATIONS ================================ • Pending License Accepted: No Must have an active New York Single State RN license. NY is not Compact • BLS ACLS NIHSS REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS ======================== • IV therapy blood product administration central line care phlebotomy starting/maintaining IVs IV vasopressors • CPAP/BiPAP Ventilator management • CVA stroke neuro-trauma spinal cord injury TBI • Cardiac monitoring interpretation and management of dysrhythmias • Emergency care adult/pediatric ED gunshot wounds ortho trauma • Isolation precautions Triage Pediatric spinal cord injury UNIT DETAILS AND FLOATING ========================= • Ratios: 1:5 Adults Geriatrics All emergency type diagnoses • Special Equipment: Bair hugger rapid infuser safe patient handling equipment • Floating: Will be required to float within skillset • Scrub Color: Any combination of navy blue and white HOSPITAL HIGHLIGHTS =================== The emergency department at Rochester General Hospital is a state-of-the-art 24/7 facility featuring a centralized layout for rapid patient care advanced diagnostic technology a dedicated pediatric ED a discreet crisis intervention unit and a trauma suite located steps from the ambulance entrance for immediate stabilization of critical patients.
