The Regional Transfer Center RN coordinates patient placement and transfers across multiple hospitals, managing both air and ground transport while collaborating with emergency and specialty care teams. This role requires strong clinical judgment, multitasking, and communication skills within a fast-paced healthcare environment, utilizing various healthcare systems like Epic and Voalte. Candidates must hold a current RN license with at least two years of acute care experience and demonstrate problem-solving abilities to optimize patient flow and hospital operations.
Join our 26-member Patient Placement Team, supporting 7 hospitals around the clock. In this fast-paced role, you’ll manage patient placement and transfers while working across 4 screens and multiple systems including Epic, Transfer Center, Bed Placement, Voalte, Genesys, and Teams to keep care moving smoothly.
💡 What You’ll Do
Triage calls & transfers like a pro
- Coordinate 🚁 air and 🚑 ground transport
- Partner with stroke, trauma & emergency teams
- Manage patient placement across hospitals
📅 Schedule
3 weekend shifts every 6 weeks
Rotating holidays (2 major + 1 minor)
No call shifts 🙌
✅ What We’re Looking For
RN with 2+ years acute care (ED or critical care required, patient flow experience a plus)
- Strong clinical judgment & multitasking skills
- Tech-savvy and confident communicating with physicians
- Thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment

- Education: Associates Degree, required. BSN preferred.
- Experience:
- Two year, required.
- Previous leadership and bed utilization experience is preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN license, required.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high level of problem solving and critical thinking skills to find solutions to difficult human, technical, clinical or administrative problems.
- Excellent problem analysis skills to develop solutions.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to manage/coordinate effectively the work of non-subordinates
