Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position caring for primarily geriatric patients in a hospital setting, requiring a GA or compact RN license and minimum 2 years' experience.
Responsibilities
- Work in a general Medical Surgical unit within a hospital environment
- Primarily geriatric patient population with varied diagnoses
- Night shift, 3x12 hours per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating within facility and within scope of practice as needed
- Candidates must be fully compliant with all onboarding requirements prior to start to avoid delays
- Must work holidays as required by the assignment: one holiday if one falls in the contract, both if two, and two if three occur
- Blocked scheduling is not permitted
- Travel pairs cannot be scheduled on the same shift in the same unit
- Maximum of 7 days of requested time off for the assignment and no time off during the first week
- Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate
- If unable to return to one facility, travelers must complete one successful assignment outside of Piedmont before rebooking at a new location
Requirements
- Active GA RN license or compact RN license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience required
- Must provide two supervisory references (manager or above) for consideration
- Travelers must not be first-time travelers
- Former permanent or PRN employees must have been separated from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year to be eligible
