Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a NH or compact license and a minimum of two years of acute care OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Operating Room unit of a hospital setting
• Typical schedule consists of four 10-hour day shifts per week
• On-call required, with 2-3 on-call shifts in a 4-5 week period and a 30-minute response time
• Travelers serve as backup call on weekdays and weekends
• May be requested to float to additional hospital locations as needed
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred but not required
• Weekly orientation is provided for new travelers
• Perm staff may return as travelers after a break in service of 12 months
• Job duties include circulating and/or scrubbing for various surgical procedures
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are accepted at a local rate

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• Minimum two years of acute care Operating Room nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred
• Three references required, two from leadership
