ICU Registered Nurse Job Details

ICU Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (New York State or compact license)
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience, including trauma, surgical, and neuro ICU patients
• Proficiency with Epic EMR system
• Competency test completion within 24 hours of submission (sent via email)
• Ability to wear navy blue scrubs per hospital dress code
• Flexibility to float to other hospital units as needed

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and advanced life support interventions
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
