Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to situations as needed, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the financial institution's premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering the location.
• Support emergency response efforts and coordinate with local authorities when required.
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
• Maintain a professional presence while interacting with employees, visitors, and/or customers at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
