Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a California RN license and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of a hospital setting
• Night shift from 18:00 to 06:30
• 13-week contract assignment
• Direct care for critically ill adult patients
• Responsible for delivering safe patient care and guiding patient and family teaching in the ICU
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
• Direct and oversee activities of other nursing personnel as needed
• Local candidates are accepted with the same rate as travel
• Flu vaccination and other onboarding health requirements may apply

Requirements

• Active California RN license required
• Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
• Workplace Violence Prevention (DCI/BVP) training required, options available for completion
• Ability to perform hemodynamic monitoring and respond quickly to changes in patient condition
