Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring an active Ohio or compact RN license and recent specialty experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital
• Work schedule consists of 3x12 hour shifts with a rotating day/night schedule (7am-7:30pm or 7pm-7:30am), subject to variable shifts as needed
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments must be passed during orientation
• Use of Qualivis – Lotus system required for submitting worked hours
• Must work at least every other holiday as part of contract requirements
• Modules and orientation must be completed prior to start and are tracked via Silkroad system
• Assignment at Cleveland Clinic locations cannot exceed 18 consecutive months, with a required 6 month break before next assignment
• Nurses are currently exempt from nicotine-free requirements, but a negative drug screen is still required within 12 months of start
• Fingerprinting and badging must be completed onsite at the facility before the assignment begins
• Caregivers with facial hair may not use PAPRs unless medically or religiously exempted
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• At least 18 months of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience required prior to first travel assignment
• Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in the specialty prior to travel considered
• Acceptable scores on ECG rhythm and medication safety assessments required during orientation
• One supervisory reference in specialty area required for consideration
• Background checks must be completed with no open cases or license hits
